Gramophone Stomp
Swing & Gypsy Jazz
Who we are
AUDREY LECAIR: a deliciously old-fashioned voice
Beyond “vintage”, this authentic and inimitable voice offers us a real journey through time.
Gramophone Stomp applies to reproduce the unique way to ring this set of acoustic instruments which was the color of vintage recordings ... A "frenchy" jazz orchestration filled with a common passion for early Django Reinhardt's art which music is so lively and popular.
STOMP, A SWING THAT BOUNDS
Despite their virtuoso and solo aspirations, the members of Gramophone Stomp are defenders of music full of enthusiasm and rhythm.
The sparkling exchanges between the musicians on stage bring the arrangements to life. The public is invited to share these moments of complicity, and to remember that "roaring twenties" fever which was in the Paris of the 1930s !
MUSIC IN PERPETUAL EVOLUTION
Students of the Jazz Conservatoire of Montpellier and professional musicians, the members of Gramophone Stomp are also great music lovers for whom nostalgia is far from being a brake on innovation.
After a very authentic first album, in search of a style, their horizons are now opening up to a more original repertoire and arrangements, with in particular unknown or forgotten works written by Django Reinhardt, with surprising sounds and daring orchestrations.
THE MEMBERS
On vocals, rhythm guitar and tap dance, we find the very inspired, Miss Audrey Leclair.
On clarinet, one of the founders of the band, Mr. David Tavani.
With solo and rhythmic guitars the very talented Arthur Anelli and Rémi Peleyras.
And to sit it all down, Fernando Morrison on the double bass.
